Getting Error with Kaspersky Internet Security 2011 Upgrade? Uninstall and Fix

Are you going to upgrade Internet Kaspersky Security 2011 to the latest version? Be ready to counter the error message "KLAVA component could not be updated".

I faced a similar one yesterday on my HP laptop. Actually, I’m a big security freak and don’t want to take a risk at all. Soon I came to know about the new product features, I decided to perform the update. It went on smooth, but later reported the error.

I instantly contacted Kaspersky support to find the solution. It recommended me to uninstall Kaspersky software, and then install Kaspersky 2012 version to outdo the problem. I was pretty confident about; I navigated to the “Control Panel” to perform the task through the Windows removal tool, as it was the easiest method that I had knew since childhood. And, I did.
Then I navigated to the Kaspersky site so as to find the desired product. I downloaded the file, executed the setup and entered the product-key that I had received as confirmation-mail. Oh, bollocks! I met an eerie message discarding the installation.

I again navigated to the Kaspersky Support portal to check what’s wrong with the software. I came to know that the error may crop due to conflicting outdated software. Now it was enough, I contacted a technician over the phone, who took the remote access of my PC to diagnose the problem. He confirmed, “The uninstallation was not complete, and to remove Kaspersky effectively I need to download and run an uninstallation tool” I agreed; the tool was really a bomb.
Afterwards, he helped me to install Kaspersky Internet Security 2012, and guided me to update and configure it to attain maximum protection.
