Last week my hp laptop ran into blue-screen problem, in fact, I was in urgent need of getting some crucial data for the official meeting. But as you know “Man proposes and God disposes.”
I tried to run the system scan with the avg, restarted the machine and did some other troubleshooting steps, which I normally avoid and hate to do, but it was not responding at all. Literally speaking it was getting on my nerve. At last I decided to say “sorry” to my boss, but it required courage, which I didn’t have at the moment.
I was in great dismay then one of my colleagues suggested me of a company, which was catering online antivirus support for all brands. I took the number and dialed it from my mobile phone, and within 30-40 seconds my call was connected with the antivirus help desk.
It collected some details regarding operating system, antivirus versions and other things and then guided him to start the system in the safe mode, luckily it worked.
Then the support specialist checked the settings of the AVG antivirus and the Windows Firewall. The firewall was working but the AVG was showing conflicts. It was not in active mode, though it was the paid version.
The antivirus support technician then uninstalled the software effectively via editing the system registry, and installed it back, and the issue was resolved.
Then he advised me to restart the system to make the changes effective, and I did so.
Next what I could see on my system was nothing less than miracle. It was booting as though a brand new laptop. I took a sigh of relief, and thanked him from the bottom of my heart.
Eventually, I attended the meeting, and fortunately my work was admired. Now, I believe that sour grapes can turn sweet also!
